Yesterday, I was in a mopey sort of mood. I was leaving steamy New Orleans to head back to New York after a much needed, fun filled girls weekend of "letting the good times roll", when I recieved a phone call from the Society of Illustrators notifying me that my Swimmer Girls had won a gold medal in the sequential category in this years competition! The words blown away don't quite describe my feelings right now, but it's the best I can do. This whole year has really been a magnificent, life-changing journey. It's so rare we can notice these moments as we are living in them, but I do, and I am going to try to enjoy the ride as long as it lasts. Clearly a huge part of it is because of Marshall and all my other professors, and of course all my classmates who support and inspire on a daily basis. Thank you also to the jury for taking a liking to my Girls!

Below are the images I submitted.

(Also thanks to the kind woman from The Society who called me who I do not remember the name of or what I even said to her because I nearly fainted immediately after hanging up. I shall thank you in person at the awards ceremony I hope!)
